Get The Most Out of Your Pool

Updated: Sep 3

People think that you can only use your pool a few months out of the year, but what if we told you that it's possible to use it almost year-round? There are a few ways to maintain your pool to where you can make it last longer and get more use out of it.

Heated Water

When you chose to add a hot tub to your pool, it allows you to get in the water in the winter months. Another way to have fun when it's a little colder is opting to get a heated pool. This can be a little more expensive, but it is worth it if you want to use your pool as much as you can.

Maintenance

When you're not using your pool in colder weather it is imperative to properly maintain, so you won't have to resurface and refill as often. A cover for your pool is a great way to keep debris from getting in and help shelter it from the elements. You also want to stay updated on where there could be blemishes in the siding and surrounding the area, so you can get them fixed before they get too big.

Balanced Chemicals

Keeping your pool's chemicals balanced is one of the most important things because it can lead to damage to the pool, stains on the lining, and corrosion on hardware and plumbing. If something like this is left over a long period, it can cause expensive repairs to anything connected to the pool.

Ambiance

Making the space yours is imperative to enjoying your time around the pool. Find what you like best by adding plants, lighting, color patterns, and type of furniture style you like to achieve. Making these small differences can change your experiences relaxing by the pool, or enjoying it with friends and family.

Pool Fun

Entertainment is what a pool is made for, whether it be relaxing or starting a competitive game. Pool games are the best way to get those around you involved in one or multiple activities. A volleyball net is a great way to start a game or you can create competition by grabbing some dive toys at the bottom of the pool. If you have younger kids, it's always a great idea to teach them how to swim. With a pool, you have the opportunity to start lessons in your backyard!
